I design polymer materials for energy and environment.

I obtained my B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from UC Berkeley, working with Prof. Phillip Messersmith. My work was on designing dynamically crosslinked hydrogel for drug release.

After that, I worked at Apple Inc. polymer materials product design team.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University, working with Prof. Zhenan Bao and Prof. Yi Cui and in close collaboration with Prof. Jian Qin. My research focused on molecular design and understand polymer materials for batteries.

Currently, I’m a postdoc fellow in Chemical Engineering at UT Austin, working with Prof. Benny Freeman, and in close collaboration with Prof. Lynn Katz. My working is on fundamental understanding and modeling of ion polymer interactions for Li extraction.

Other than being an researcher, I’m also a stand-up comedian.
